Info

Our sensory play classes are designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers to explore the world through touch, sound, movement, and light in a safe and relaxed environment.

These sessions are currently being set up while we finalise insurance and safety requirements. You can already register your interest and be the first to hear when bookings open.

What to expect

Each class will include a mix of sensory activities such as:

  • Textures and tactile play (soft, messy, dry, and natural materials)
  • Light and colour exploration
  • Simple sound and music activities
  • Movement and motor skill play
  • Calm spaces for winding down if needed

The focus is always on free exploration. Children can engage at their own pace, with no pressure to “do it right”.

Age groups

Designed for:

  • Babies (newborn+)
  • Movers (6 months+)
  • Walkers (around 1+ as appropriate)

Every child is different. These classes aim to be relaxing and fun. We want to make sure toddlers aren’t bored in a baby class and babies aren’t overwhelmed by the wonderful chaos children bring once they are moving!

Groups may be adjusted once sessions begin to make sure they stay suitable and enjoyable for everyone.

Language

Sessions will be held in English, and are welcoming to all families.

Duration & timing

Sessions will run for around 45 minutes for the youngest class and 60 minutes for the older children.

  • A short introduction, checking in on each carer and child about how they feel that day
  • A slow warm up introducing that week’s theme
  • Guided play
  • Ending with refreshments

I want to keep these sessions as affordable and accessible as possible, while creating a sustainable local service for families. Alongside regular ticketed classes, small groups of parents can also suggest a date and venue that works for them, allowing sessions to take place within their own communities. There is also the possibility of offering sensory birthday experiences for first birthdays and adapted sessions for older children with additional or special educational needs, creating an inclusive environment where every child can engage, play and thrive.
